LOS ANGELES – The No. 18 USC baseball team outpaced the Cal State Fullerton Titans at home on Tuesday night, picking up a 13-4 victory in the team's final midweek contest of the regular season.

With the win, USC moves to 38-12 on the year. Cal State Fullerton falls to 21-26.

The Trojans scored four runs in each of the first two innings. Adrian Lopez led off the bottom of the first with a solo shot, followed by two bases-loaded singles and a walk. Augie Lopez hit a three-run shot in the second and Andrew Lamb doubled in the fourth run to give USC an 8-2 lead.

Fullerton tried to keep pace, scoring in each of the first three innings and cutting it to an 8-4 USC lead after two runs in the third, but the Trojans pulled away with five runs over the next three innings.

Jack Basseer singled home a pair of runs in the third and then Maximo Martinez hit a two-run homer in the fourth. The Trojans would tack on their 13^th run on a Dean Carpentier single up the middle in the fifth.

The USC bullpen would close out the win with six different pitchers combining to toss six scoreless innings. Gavin Lauridsen picked up the win after his 3.0 innings of work.
