Former USC Trojans Ezra Ausar and Saint Thomas Set to Play in NBA Summer League

Multiple Trojans will compete in the NBA Summer League for the second consecutive season under Head Coach Eric Musselman.
LOS ANGELES — Former USC Men's Basketball players Ezra Ausar and Saint Thomas will compete in the NBA Summer League, held from July 9-19 on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas.
Ausar will play for the Miami Heat while Thomas will make his second Summer League stint with the Philadelphia 76ers. This marks the second consecutive season with multiple Trojans competing in the NBA Summer League under Head Coach Eric Musselman. All games at the Thomas & Mack Center and The Pavilion will be televised either on the ESPN family of networks or on Amazon Prime Video. Tickets can be purchased here.
Both teams will play at least five guaranteed games in Las Vegas. The top four teams from each team will advance to a four-team single-elimination playoff bracket, culminating with the championship game held on July 19. The remaining 26 teams that do not make the playoffs will play in a fifth game between July 17-19.
Making an immediate impact during his lone year at USC, Ausar averaged 14.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while starting in all 32 games. A tenacious rebounder with a knack for getting to the free-throw line, Ausar ranked No. 23 in the nation with 233 free-throw attempts and No. 68 with 157 free throws at the end of the regular season. Ausar already has Summer League action under his belt: During the California Classic last weekend, Ausar finished with four points and four rebounds in 12 minutes in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
A starter on Head Coach Eric Musselman's first USC team in 2024-25, Saint Thomas is making his return to the NBA Summer League after playing for Philadelphia's G-League team, the Delaware Blue Coats, last season. In his debut G-League season, the 6-foot-7 forward averaged 12.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 29.5 minutes of action in 36 games. As a Trojan, Thomas averaged 9.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game and was the only USC player to start in all 35 games that season.
