BREAKDOWN: Brandon Gardner is a 6-8, 215 pound forward with superior athleticism. He can be fierce on the dribble, shows explosiveness and will use his seven-foot wingspan to be a major factor around the basket for the Trojans.
HIGH SCHOOL: Gardner is a 2023 graduate of Christ the King High in New York City. As a senior he averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks per game and was named “Mr. Basketball” in New York. He was ranked as the No. 77 overall recruit by Rivals.com and listed as the composite No. 2 player in the state of New York by 247Sports.com. Gardner originally signed with St. John’s, but opened up his recruiting when the Red Storm changed head coaches. On3 basketball recruiting expert Jamie Shaw listed Gardner among his “most electric players” in the 2023 recruiting class.
