Bio
THIS YEAR: Begins his first season as a multi-events athlete for USC. He transferred from Virginia with one season of eligibility remaining.
BEFORE USC: Competed in the multis at Virginia from 2015-17. He did not compete during the 2017 outdoor season. During the 2017 indoor season, he posted PRs in the shot put (13.92m), high jump (1.94m) and 60m hurdles (9.29). In 2016 he earned second-team All-ACC honors in the decathlon, finishing sixth at the ACC Championships. He recorded a PR of 7,004 points at the Virginia Challenge, which ranks seventh on the UVA all-time list. He finished ninth in the decathlon at the 2015 ACC Championships…his scored 6,485 points which ranks fifth on Virginia’s all-time freshman list. He was a member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll. He began his collegiate career at Hampden-Sydney (2013-14) where he played basketball and led the team with a free throw percentage of .833.
HIGH SCHOOL: He is a 2013 graduate of the Darlington School in Rome, Ga. where he competed in track, basketball and cross country. He was the 2012 state 800m champion with a time of 1:57.21. He was a seven-time region champion in track and two-time All-Region in cross county and basketball. He prepped at Kent School where he was all-conference in basketball and a starting pitcher in baseball.
PERSONAL: Cameron was born on April 23, 1994 in Atlanta, Ga...His parents are Rozanne and Forrest Collins and he has a younger sister, Natalie....Likes to play basketball in his spare time and says his sports hero is Kobe Bryant because he gave no mercy...Listens to country music and lists Vince Vaughn as his favorite actor...Is a Global Supply Chain Management major in USC's Marshall School of Business.
