THIS SEASON: An experienced driver and proven scorer, Veronika Bartunkova enters her final season for the Women of Troy.
2007: Bartunkova again was USC's eighth leading scorer, this time tallying 27 goals in her junior season... Scored in 20 different games with five multiple-goal efforts, including two hat tricks... Earned All-MPSF Academic honors.
2006: Bartunkova scored 20 goals as a sophomore, finishing as USC's eighth leading scorer in the season... Scored a career-high four goals against Pacific on Feb. 18 and had a hat trick against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the first round of the NCAA Tournament... Scored in 14 games... Earned ACWPC and All-MPSF Academic honors with a 3.20 GPA.
2005: Bartunkova scored nine goals for USC as a freshman.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Bartunkova is a member of the Czech Republic's National Team... Recently competed for the Czech Republic at the 2008 European Qualification Tournament, scoring seven goals in three games... Scored 10 goals at the 2007 European Qualification Tournament... Played in the 2004 Olympic qualifying tournament in Italy... Played for the first-place squad at the 2002 European "B" Championship and was named as tournament most valuable player... Played for the second-place team at the 2001 European Youth Championship in Manchester, England.
