THIS SEASON: Stein enters his final season at USC carrying 110 career goals scored as a Trojan, ranking him No. 28 all-time in scoring at USC.
2016: Stein was USC’s fourth leading scorer with 32 goals as a junior... Named to All-America Third Team and to All-MPSF First Team... Scored in 19 games with 10 multiple-goal outings... A member of the 2016 NCAA Tournament roster.
2015: Stein was the second leading scorer on the team with 45 goals as a sophomore... Earned All-American Honorable Mention... Also picked for All-MPSF Honorable Mention... Scored in 22 games with 13 multiple-goal outings... Served up a team-high four goals in an overtime MPSF quarterfinal win over Stanford... A member of the 2015 NCAA Tournament roster.
2014: Stein was the team’s fifth leading scorer with 33 goals scored as a true freshman... Scored in 16 games with 10 multiple-goal outings... Set career high with five goals scored vs. Air Force on Sept. 14... A member of the 2014 NCAA Tournament roster.
HIGH SCHOOL: Stein was a four-time all-league first-team pick out of Palm Desert High... Also was a three-time All-CIF first-team selection... As a freshman, was named to the All-CIF third team... Team won 2014 CIF Championship behind a hat trick in the final from Stein... Led team in goals, steals and assists in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons... Played club for CHAWP... An honor student.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Stein was a member of the USA’s Cadet and Youth National Teams.
PERSONAL: Stein is majoring in human biology and hopes to pursue a career as a pharmacist... Parents are Margo and Ken... Has four sisters, Michelle, Kelly, Jill and Elise... Sister Michelle was an All-American water polo player at USC... His grandfather Vincent Heublein and uncles Brian and Harrison Heublein also attended USC... Brother-in-law Pavol Valovic also played water polo at USC... Uncle Brian Heublein played baseball and basketball at USC... Enjoys body surfing, eating and spending time with friends and family in his free time... Would like to travel to Australia and Europe... Has always wanted to try base jumping... Born June 13, 1996.
