Bruins Best the Trojans 4-0

The No. 47 USC women's tennis team fell to the No. 14 UCLA Bruins today (April 21) in Westwood, Calif. With the loss, the Trojans are now 12-9 overall and 5-5 in Pac-12 Conference play.
The Bruins claimed the first win in doubles as Andrews/Broomfield sprinted to a quick finish with a 6-1 victory over USC's Smith/Weissmann on court two. Up next, UCLA's No. 6 Fleming/Hart defeated USC's No. 46 Kulikov/Valdes 6-4 on court one to claim the doubles point.
The Trojans entered singles with a one-point deficit.
The Bruins continued to roll their momentum from doubles into singles. UCLA's Ayan Broomfield defeated Madison Westby 6-1, 6-2 on court five to push the Bruins ahead 2-0.
Next on court four USC's Angela Kulikov fell to UCLA's No. 55 Abi Altick 6-2, 6-0.
Finally, Bruin No. 35 Jada Hart beat Trojan No. 91 Rianna Valdes 6-3, 6-2 on court two to clinch the match for UCLA.
The next action for the Women of Troy will be up in Ojai, Calif. at the Pac-12 Championships on April 25 through April 28.
