No. 4 USC Finishes Second At Pac-12 Championships

Allisen Corpuz ties for second as Trojans post fifth straight top 2 finish.
Freshmen Amelia Garvey and Jennifer Chang turned in even rounds to lead No. 4 USC to a second-place finish during the final day of the 2018 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championships on Tuesday (April 24) at the Broadmoor G.C. in Seattle, Wash.

The Trojans entered the conference tournament with a three-event win streak but did extend its run of top 2 finishes to five, combining for a 54-hole 8-over 872 (291-288-293). UCLA finished first at 4-under 860 while Arizona and Stanford tied for third at 9-over 873.

USC's four-freshmen, one-sophomore lineup that has won three times this spring, maintained second-place throughout the Pac-12 Championships, finishing play at 5-over today.

Sophomore Allisen Corpuz tied for seventh at 1-under 215 (69-71-75) for her fifth top 15 finish in a row and seventh top 17 this season. She closed her final round with an even back 9 with a pair of birdies.

Chang tied for 15th at 4-over 220 (72-76-72), finishing with a three-birdie round that also featured an eagle on the par 5 13th hole. Chang has now posted five straight top 15 results in her six spring starts.

Freshman Gabi Ruffels tied for 20th at 5-over 221 (76-71-74) for her third top 20 this spring, her final round featuring three birdies.

Freshman Amelia Garvey tied for 23rd at 6-over 222 (78-72-72) after her second straight even round that saw her mix two birdies and two bogeys. It was her third straight top 23 finish.
