USC Women's Golf Visits Stanford with the Stanford Intercollegiate

The Trojans head to a Pac-12 rival's course, as they compete against a 19-team field
LOS ANGELES -Â The USC women's golf team travels to NorCal to compete in the three-day Stanford Intercollegiate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 20-22) at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif.Â

COMPETITIVE SLATE: Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, California, Colorado, Denver, Georgia, Iowa State, Michigan, Northwestern, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, *Stanford, Texas, UCLA, USC, Virginia, and Washington.

WHERE:Â Stanford Golf Course (Par 71, 6,727 yards).
Â
WHEN:Â The three-day event will begin on Friday, Oct. 20, with a 7:30 a.m. start. The second round will be played Saturday, Oct. 21, and the final round will conclude the tournament Sunday, Oct. 22.

INSIDE THE LINEUP:

Brianna Navarrosa
Â
Navarrosa will make her third appearance this season, fresh off her start against UCLA. The senior finished tied for 18th place at last season's Stanford Intercollegiate, shooting 72-70-71 (E) and as she helped the Trojans claim a seventh-place finish.

Bailey Shoemaker
Â
Shoemaker joins for the second start in a row after competing in the Battle of the Bell. The freshman was an individual scorer at the Windy City Collegiate Classic. Her best finish so far this season came in her first appearance in Washington at the Golf and Leadership Invitational, shooting one-over-par (69-74-74).Â
Frances Kim
Kim, a freshman, will compete in her first tournament of her career. She has participated in seven total junior events and has finished in the top-10 four times. Kim enters her freshman year as the 43rd ranked Girls Junior according to Golfweek.Â
Xin (Cindy) Kou
Â
Kou is making her second start of the season, her first being in the Battle of the Bell against UCLA. The junior went all 18 holes in her individual matchup.Â
Catherine Park
Â
Park will compete in her fourth competition of the season. The sophomore finished first amongst her teammates in the Windy City Collegiate Classic Oct. 2-3, shooting 71-70-71 (-4) in three rounds and placing tied for 20th place overall. She finished five-under-par on par-five holes. The tournament marked her second top-20 finish to begin the season.Â
PLAY FOR HER
The Trojans alongside the other teams in the field, are currently raising funds that go towards research and raising awareness for Breast Cancer. USC is offering the opportunity to help in this initiative, as patrons have the opportunity to sponsor the Women of Troy on a per-birdie basis. USC's specific fundraising link is located here
