Catherine Park leads the way at -5 as Brianna Navarrosa and Bailey Shoemaker rise on day two
STANFORD, Calif. -Â USC women's golf stays constant with an even-par effort on day two, as the Trojans find themselves in a tie with Virginia for first place at five-under-par after the first two rounds in the Stanford Intercollegiate on Saturday, Oct. 21, in Stanford, Calif.Â

The Trojans had several players move up in the leaderboard as senior Brianna Navarrosa climbed up the most spots for the Trojans with a 19-spot jump as she carded a 70 (-1). Navarrosa rose into a tie for 23rd, as she is one-over-par for the tournament. Freshman Bailey Shoemaker took the second-largest leap, moving 12 spots to land into a tie for 14th. Shoemaker began her day with a double bogey on hole No. 10 but quickly rallied with three birdies on the back nine and added one more in the round.Â

Sophomore Catherine Park still held her spot as the Trojans' leader, carding a 69 (-2) on the day to bring her to five-under-par overall. Park added one spot to get into a tie for second place and is one stroke off the lead.Â

Junior Xin (Cindy) Kou rounds out the counting scores as she was two-over-par in round two and is four-over-par after the first two days. That places her in a tie for 30th place. Freshman Frances Kim is the last representative from the Trojans, competing in her first-ever collegiate tournament. Kim carded at 77 (+6) and is six-over-par after the first two rounds.Â
