No. 15 USC Women's Soccer Hosts Oregon, Oregon State

LOS ANGELES - The No. 15 USC women's soccer team returns home for a pair of Pac-12 contests at McAlister Field this weekend, hosting Oregon on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 3 pm and Oregon State on Sunday at 1 pm.

HOW TO FOLLOW - Thursday's matchup with Oregon will be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Networks, and Sunday's match vs. Washington will be broadcast on Pac-12 Los Angeles. SERIES VS OREGON - USC owns a 16-2-1 all-time record against Oregon. The Trojans have won the last 10 matches in the series, including the most recent matchup 4-0 on Oct. 2, 2022 in Eugene, Ore. USC has outscored Oregon 26-4 during that stretch, keeping six clean sheets. The Ducks' last victory in the series came in a 1-0 OT win in Eugene on Oct. 7, 2012.

SERIES VS OREGON STATE - USC owns a 15-3-1 all-time record against Oregon State. USC has won the 10 previous meetings, including the most recent matchup 5-1 on Sept. 29, 2022 in Corvallis, Ore. The Trojans have scored at least 3 goals four times over that stretch. The Beavers' last victory over the Trojans was a 1-0 win at McAlister Field on Sept. 30, 2011.

SENIOR DAY - The Trojans will celebrate senior day on Sunday prior to their contest with Oregon State at 12 p.m. USC will honor Zoe Burns, Kayla Duran, Angeles Escobar, Hannah Griffin, Katie Roditis and Keely Roy.

HEATING UP -Â The Trojans have won four straight matches for the second time in the last two seasons. They've kept clean sheets in three of the last four, outscoring opponents 10-1 over the winning streak. The winning streak also has USC out to a 3-0 start in Pac-12 play for the third consecutive season.

SPREADING THE WEALTH - Through nine games this season, 10 different Trojans have found the back of the net, making them one of just four Pac-12 teams with at least 10 goalscorers. 15 Trojans have recorded at least one point in 2023, more than all but one team (Stanford - 16) in the Pac-12.

WEEKEND UP NORTH - The Trojans swept the Washington schools last weekend, picking up a 2-1 comeback win over Washington State on Thursday and a 3-0 victory against Washington on Sunday. Trailing 1-0 in with less than 30 minutes to play, Maribel Flores tied the game with a first-time strike. (Her 4 goals are the most among Pac-12 freshman). Hannah Griffin headed home the winner 16 minutes later in the 78th minute. On Sunday, Izzy Kimberly turned in a woman of the match performance, scoring the first goal and assisting Helena Sampaio on the third. Florianne Jourde scored her second goal of the season in the 74th.

AWUJO CALLED UP - Simi Awujo was called up by the Canadian National Team for the winner-take-all CONCACAF Olympic Play-In series. It was the 8th time Awujo has been called up to the Canadian National Team. Canada faced Jamaica over two legs, winning the first 2-0 Kingston on Sept. 22 and the second 2-1 on Sept. 26 to clinch a spot in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

CAMP CALL UPS - Maribel Flores and Hannah Poulter were both called into international duty last week as well. Flores joined the Mexican U20 squad for camp in Mexico City and Poulter was with the English U19 team.
