No. 11 USC Women’s Tennis to Host ITA Kickoff Weekend at Marks Stadium

Trojans open ITA K.O.W. action against the University of Pennsylvania on Friday at 2 p.m. PT.
LOS ANGELES – No. 11 USC women's tennis team is set for an action-packed weekend at Marks Tennis Stadium as the Women of Troy host ITA Kickoff Weekend for the first time in nearly 10 years. The Trojans open play on Friday afternoon against the University of Pennsylvania at 2 p.m. PT.
Earlier in the day, USC will host a neutral-site match between No. 13 Auburn and San Diego at 10 a.m. PT. The winners of Friday's matches will advance to the championship match on Saturday at 2 p.m. The consolation match will be played at 10 a.m.
The 17th annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association Kickoff Weekend will take place January 24-26 at 14 different facilities across the country. Of the 56 teams competing, 14 teams will qualify for the 2025 ITA National Team Indoor Championship.
Cracked Racquets and Al Gruskin will have the call all weekend long, as the tennis platform provides CrossCourt Cast coverage of the various ITA Kickoff Regional Sites.
USC last hosted ITA Kickoff Weekend back in 2015, under then head coach Richard Gallien. Similar to 2015, the Trojans look to earn a spot at the upcoming ITA National Team Indoor Championship.
RANKINGS
SO FAR THIS SEASON
USC opened the 2025 season with a massive upset over No. 7 Texas on Friday, Jan. 18. The Women of Troy exploded out of the gate to take an early 1-0 lead after claiming the doubles point. Lily Fairclough, Jana Hossam and Immi Haddad each won their respective singles matches over ranked opponents to solidify the win for the Trojans.
The following day, USC downed local rival UC Irvine 4-0 as Maia Sung solidified the win over the Anteaters as she delivered the clinch on court four.
LAST SEASON
The Women of Troy are coming off a tremendous 2024 season. The team stormed to a 20-9 record last spring, including an 8-2 record in the final season of Pac-12 conference play. USC also advanced to the Round of 16 in the NCAA Championship Tournament and saw three individuals qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship.
FALL RECAP
A pair of Trojans qualified for the inaugural NCAA Fall Singles and Doubles Championships in November, as Grace Piper competed in singles and doubles alongside Lily Fairclough. Piper and Fairclough reached the second round of competition, while individually Piper fell in her opening singles match.
Entering spring, Trojan Immi Haddad led the Women of Troy with an overall singles record of 10-5. Shortly behind her was Emma Charney and Parker Fry, who each carried 9-5 singles records. Piper and Fairclough were USC's most successful duo by the numbers in the fall, carrying a 6-3 record.
