Bio
THIS SEASON:
Ryan Francis, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound freshman in 2006, comes to the Trojans with great credentials and will challenge for playing time at point guard this season. He has great quickness and knows how to control the tempo of a game.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Averaged 22 points, five assists and three steals per game as a senior at Glen Oaks High School in Baton Rouge, La., in 2005, leading his team to a perfect 36-0 record and the state 4-A Title. He was named the 2005 Louisiana Class 4-A Player of the Year and was the MVP in the state title game. He also was the 4-A All-State MVP, All-Metro and an LHSCAA All-Star in 2005. As a junior, he was the 4-A All-District MVP and Best Defensive Player.
PERSONAL:
Francis was born on March 17, 1987. Currently is an undecided major at USC and would some day like to coach or work with computers. His hobbies include playing sports and video games. His biggest sports hero is Baron Davis and is a distant cousin to teammate Nick Young.
