2020:
High School: Peterson prepped at Wheat Ridge (Colo.) High where he was a two-time champion in the 100y free (45.05) and 200y free (1:39.35) at the 2019 CHSAA 4A Boys State Championship meet. He also won the 200y free at the 2018 state meet (1:37.98) and the 200y IM in 2017 (1:51.41) … He was a finalist at the 2019 Colorado Swimming Senior Long Course Championships in the 400m IM (4:46.82) … He was a champion at the 2018 Colorado Swimming Senior Long Course Championships in the 100m free (52.87) ... An NISCA All-American, he raced at the 2019 Speedo Junior Nationals, highlighted by a 21st in the 200m IM (2:07.66).
Club: University of Denver.
Personal: He is a political science major.
PETERSON'S PERSONAL RECORDS:
- Peterson was a conference B finalist at Pac-12’s, finishing 16th in the 100y breast (55.85/55.82). He was also 22nd in the 100y free (45.07/45.57) and 24th in the 200y IM (1:48.89/1:50.93).
- Placed third in the 200y IM (1:53.73) and fifth in the 100y free (45.09) against Utah (Feb. 13)
2020:
- Provided depth for the Trojans in the individual medley and middle-distance free, finishing 23rd in the 200y IM (1:49.42) and 33rd in the 200y free (1:38.55) at the 2020 Pac-12 Championships. He was also 38th in the 100y free (44.91).
- At the Art Adamson Invite, Peterson was 16th in the 200y IM (1:52.03), 20th in 200y free (1:39.70) and 21st in the 50y free (20.48).
