Bio
THIS SEASON: A 2008 sophomore, Tyler Schlenker saw a lot of dual-meet action as a freshman and looks to become an even bigger part of USC[apos]s dual-meet and postseason action.
2007: Schlenker raced in three events at the 2007 Pac-10 Championships, taking 12th in the 200y breast (2:02.51), 13th in the 100y breast (56.71) and 22nd in the 200y IM (1:53.59). His Pac-10 prelim swims in the 100y (56.44) and 200y breast (2:01.99) were season-best efforts.
HIGH SCHOOL: Schlenker prepped at Campolinda High in Moraga, Calif., where he was a league and section champion in the 100y breast and 200y IM ... He also played water polo as a freshman and sophomore.
PERSONAL: He was born on Dec. 26, 1987 ... He is majoring in mechanical engineering.
