Iowa Central: At Iowa Central Community College, Zuniga was a four-time 2019-2020 NJCAA All-American, earning honors in the 50y and 100y free and 200y and 400y free relays … At the 2020 NJCAA Championships, Zuniga was a three-time champion, taking the 50y free (19.57), 100y free (43.71) and 100y fly (47.44) … Was a six-time finalist at the 2019 RBC Canadian Swimming Championships. His top finishes included a second place in the 50L back (25.83) and third in the 50L fly (24.46)
Club: Mexican Swimming Federation / Elite Swimming (Canada) / Club Aquatique Montreal
- At the UCSB Invite, Cruz Zuniga was 3rd in the 100y fly (49.46), 4th in the 50y free (20.64) and 7th in the 100y free
- Was 16th in the 50y free (20.68) at the Art Adamson Invitational
- Zuniga provided depth in the sprint free and fly events, scoring three times for USC at Pac-12’s.
- At the NCAA Championships, he helped USC’s 400y free relay to an 18th place finish (2:51.51)
- At the 2021 Pac-12 Swimming Championships, Zuniga scored three times, finishing 11th in the 50y free (20.03 / 19.87), 15th in the 100y free (43.60 / 43.88) and 16th in the 100y fly (47.51 / 47.88).
