Bio
BREAKDOWN:
Alexis Moore is a 6-foot-2, 180 pound guard who should be able to help the Trojans right away. He is an excellent defender with an excellent all around game with the capability of scoring off the drive or from long range. In high school he showed the ability to score at the most crucial times and demonstrated a keen basketball knowledge.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Moore averaged 9.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists as a senior at Long Beach Poly. Was named to the Best in the West Second Team by the Long Beach Press Telegram and was ranked by Cali High Sports as the No. 14 player inthe state. Moore helped lead the Jack Rabbits to a Southern Section Division I-AA championship and the California state quarterfinals where they fell 72-55 to Mater Dei. Poly was 31-2 and ended the season ranked No. 13 nationally. He scored a team-high 17 points to lead Poly past Byron Wesley[apos]s Etiwanda squad, 66-63 in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern California Regional state playoffs. Moore scored in double figures 17 times with a high of 19 points in wins over Bishop O[apos]Dowd and Montebello. He made 35 percent of his three-point attempts (53-for-152). He also averaged 4.1 assists per game with a high of nine in a win over Cabrillo. He also helped lead Poly to tournament championships at the Pacific Shores Tournament, the National Prep Classic and the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic. As a junior, he led Long Beach Poly to a 28-5 record and to the Elite Eight in the California State Championships where they fell to eventual champion Westchester. In the quarterfinals win vs. Los Osos, Moore scored 13 fourth-quarter points, including the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer in Poly[apos]s 61-58 win. He averaged 9.8 points, 4.9 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game
