BREAKDOWN:
Eric Strangis, 6-for-4, 190-pound senior guard begins his second season as part of the USC men[apos]s basketball program. He transfered to USC after playing one season at both Cal Lutheran and Moorpark College.
2010-11:
Played a total of seven minutes in six games in his first season at USC. Appeared in his first game as a Trojan on Nov. 21 vs. New Mexico State and played a scoreless minute. Played a season-high two minutes three times. Had a foul in two minutes of action vs. CS Fullerton on Nov. 24 and vs. Stanford on Jan. 20. Has not attempted a field goal as a Trojan.
2009-10:
Was a part-time starter for Moorpark College which advanced to postseason play, but lost in the first round. He was named to the Dean[apos]s List.
2008-09:
Played the season at Cal Lutheran and saw limited action off the bench for the Kingsmen. Strangis was named to the Provost List at Cal Lutheran for superior grades.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Strangis averaged 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists as a senior at Crescenta Valley High (Calif.). He served as a team captain.
PERSONAL:
Strangis was born on March 1, 1990 in Pasadena. He is a Sociology major at USC. Likes to workout and be with his family during his spare time. His grandfather Sam Nicholson ran track at USC. Lists his favorite actor as Denzel Washington, musician as Common and movie as Finding Forrester. Has an interest in becoming a fire fighter or coach after college.
