Bio
THIS YEAR: Senior All-American Deanna Hill begins her final season with USC competing in the 100m and 200m dashes and the relays. She ranks in USC's top 10 in the 100m and 200m and ran a leg for USC's school record-setting 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. She is one of the USC women's tri-captains for the 2018 season.
2017: Hill won the 100m with a time of 11.12 (+3.0w) and the 200m with a time of 22.74 (+1.7) at the USC-UCLA Dual meet on April 30. She took fourth in the 100m with a time of 11.18 (+1.4) and set her 200m PR with time of 22.41 (+1.5) to place second at the Pac-12 Championships on May 14, which moved her to third on USC's all-time 200m list. She advanced out of the West Prelims third in the 100m with a time of 11.06 (+3.7w) and second in the 200m with a windy PR of 22.30 (+3.8w)...She set her wind-aided 100m PR of 11.01 (+4.7w) in the prelims on May 25. She placed sixth in the 200m with a time of 23.00 (+1.1) on June 10 and 10th in the 100m with a time of 11.39 (-1.4) on June 8 at the NCAA Championships. Hill set her 100m PR with a time of 11.17 (+1.4) in the prelimins at the USA T&F Championships on June 22, which moved her into a 6th-place tie on USC's all-time list. She had a time of 11.45 (-1.2), finishing 16th in the 100m semifinals at the USA T&F Championships on June 23. Hill also ran the third leg for USC's 4x400m relay which took second at NCAAs with a school-record and second-fastest time ever by a college quartet of 3:23.35. She set a 60m PR of 7.26 to place third at the Tyson Invitational on February 10, ranking fifth on USC's indoor 60m list. She placed fifth in the 60m with a time of 7.33 at the MPSF Championships on Feb. 25.
2016: Hill placed sixth in the 100m at the NCAA Championships with a wind-aided time of 11.21 (+2.6w). She ran a legal 11.21 (+1.3) in the semifinals which moved her into 9th on USC's all-time list. She also took seventh in the 200m at the NCAAs with a time of 22.75 (+1.9). She set a 200m PR of 22.60 (+0.7) at the NCAA Preliminary Rounds, moving to 4th on USC's all-time list. She finished 5th in the 100m (11.55) and 4th in the 200m (23.21) at the Pac-12 Championships. She reached the Olympic Trials semis in the 200m & finished 13th with a time of 23.04...she was 27th in the 100m at the Olympic Trials with a time of 11.36. She was part of USC's record-setting 4x100m relay which ran 42.90 to place second at the NCAA Championships...also finished 8th as part of USC's 4x400m relay.
2015: Hill moved into an eighth-place tie on USC’s all-time 200m list and finished second with a time of 22.88 (+1.6) at the Florida Relays on April 3. She took second in the 200m (23.24) and third in the 100m (11.51) at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 3. She went on to place third in the 200m with a time of 23.14 (+0.7) and fifth in the 100m with a time of 11.45 (+1.1) at the Pac-12 Championships on May 17…also ran leadoff for USC’s winning 4x100m relay which set a meet record with a time of 43.10, the third-fastest all-time by a Trojan relay. She reached the NCAA semifinals and placed 12th in both the 100m and 200m races….she ran a wind-aided best of 11.25 (+3.0w) in the 100m and 23.01 (+1.8) in the 200m. She also anchored USC’s All-American 4x100m relay which ran 43.27 to take third at the NCAA Championships with the fifth-fastest time ever by a Trojan quartet. During the summer she won the USATF Junior Championships 200m title with a time of 23.03 (+0.8) on June 27 and won the Pan American Juniors 200m title with a time of 23.18 (+1.7) on Aug. 1…also placed fourth in the 100m at the USATF Junior Championships with a PR of 11.41 (+0.6) on June 27. During the indoor season she established PRs of 7.28 in the 60m and 23.50 in the 200m. She won the MPSF indoor 200m title with a time of 23.51 and was fourth in the 60m with her PR of 7.28. Hill finished 11th at 7.37 in the 60m dash at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: Hill comes to the Trojans from Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando, Fla., where she was on both the President's List and a member of National Honors Society. She was the 2A Florida state 100m champion two years in a row and also finished second in the 200m dash. Hill had eleven first place finishes in her 2014 season, including the 100m sprint at the Highlander Invitational and the 200m sprint at the FL 2A Region 2 meet.
PERSONAL: Deanna was born on April 13, 1996 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to Tia and Harold Hill...She has two siblings, Brittany and Jastin...She considers the X-Men to be her sports heroes because of how well they worked together...She is majoring in Human Biology with a minor in Marketing at USC...In her spare time she likes to draw, shop and compete in recreational sports...Lists her favorite musician as Rihanna and her favorite movie as Love & Basketball.
