Bio
THIS YEAR: Freshman Patty Haggerty is in her first season as a distance runner on the USC track and field team. She also was on the cross country team in the Fall.
HIGH SCHOOL: Haggerty is a 2019 graduate of Bronxville HS in Bronxville, N.Y. She has PRs of 2:17 in the 800m, 4:51.04 in the 1500m and 19:40 in the 5000m. She qualified for the Championship of America Race in the 4x800m at the 2018 Penn Relays and was part of the New York Division II state champion 4x800m relay team. She also ran cross country and helped lead her team to a second-place finish at the N.Y. State Cross Country Championships. She was an Honor Society student, AP Scholar and received the Wells College Leadership Award.
PERSONAL: Patty was born on January 12, 2001 in Chicago, Ill...Her parents are Katie and Sean Haggerty and she has two siblings, Kathryn and Sean...She is involved with Habitat for Humanity and the Human Rights Coalition...She likes to surfing, going to the beach and lifeguarding...Lists Melissa McCarthy as her favorite actor...Someday would like to visit Australia...She is a Journalism major at USC.
