2014-15
Katherine Gleadow enters her senior season as a port rower for the Women of Troy.
2013-14
As a junior, Gleadow served as a team captain and rowed in the varsity four for the majority of the season. She stroked the V4 to wins at the Pac-12 Challenge and a victory for the Karen Plumleigh Cortney Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic. She also stroked the boat to a win over UCLA in the USC-UCLA dual. Gleadow sat in the second seat and helped the V4 to a sixth-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships. She then stroked the second varsity eight to a sixth-place finish in the petite final of the NCAA Championships.
2012-13
As a sophomore, Gleadow stroked the second varsity four boat at the San Diego Crew Classic, Lake Natoma Invitational, and the Collegiate 4+ race at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships. She then moved to stroke the varsity four in the NCAA Championships and guided her boat to a silver-medal finish in the national grand final.
2011-12
As a freshman, Gleadow was a fixture in USC's second varsity eight boat. From the bow seat, she helped the 2V8 to a sixth-place finish in the grand final at the San Diego Crew Classic. She raced from the No. 2 seat for nearly the rest of the year and helped her crew to wins over Princeton, Notre Dame, and Michigan State in head-to-head races. Gleadow's 2V8 finished sixth at the Pac-12 Championships. From the two seat, Gleadow helped the second varsity eight win a repechage race at the NCAA Championships. Gleadow moved into the stroke seat on the final day of the national championships and helped her boat to a first-place finish in the NCAA petite final.
CLUB AND HIGH SCHOOL
Gleadow rowed for the Burnaby Lake Rowing Club (Vancouver, B.C.) for five years under coaches Dick McLure and Cinda Ewton. She was a member of the Canadian Junior National Development Team in 2010 and placed first in the fours and doubles at the 2010 CanAmMex Regatta. She also raced with the Rowing British Columbia crew for one year as a member of the provincial team and helped her 8+ and 4x boats finish first at the 2011 Western Canadian Summer Games. She also finished second in the single scull event. As a senior, she placed first at the Brentwood Regatta in the single scull and was third in the Junior A doubles at the Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association (CSSRA) championships. In 2010, Gleadow placed third in the intermediate doubles as the US Club National Championships and was second in the junior doubles at the Canadian Henley. In 2009, she won the CSSRA's gold medal in the junior doubles. Gleadow also rowed four years for her high school under Ewton, and was named Most Inspirational Senior and received the Athletic Service Award as a senior.
