Bio
2024: Shirangi, who transferred to USC in the summer of 2024 from Hawaii, will compete for playing time at punter as a redshirt senior in 2024.
HAWAII: Shirangi spent the spring of 2024 at Hawaii.
POMONTA PITZER: As a senior in 2023, Shirangi earned AFCA Division III All-American honors as both a punter and kicker becoming the first player in history to earn dual All-America honors from the AFCA. He also was named to the All-SCIAC First Teamat both positions. He led the nation with an average of 46.4 yards and a long of 77 on 41 attempts. He went 8-for-8 on field goals with a long of 47 yards. He also was named a 2023 Division III All-Region punter.
HIGH SCHOOL: Shirangi was named to the All-League First Team and the All-Country Third Team. He was a four-year varsity letterwinner.
His career-long field goal in high school was 44 yards.
He also competed in soccer, cross country and track and field.
PERSONAL: He earned his bachelor’s degree in Data Science from Pomona Pitzer in fall of 2023. He is currently pursuing his master’s in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at USC. While at Pomona Pitzer, he was named to the Academic All-America Second Team by the College Sports Communicators. Additionally, he earned placement on the Division III All-District Academic Team and was a four-time SCIAC All-Academic selection. His mother, Laura, went to USC, and his brother is currently a junior at USC.
