Bio
CAREER: In his 4-year collegiate career (2 years and Arizona State, 2 at USC), he’s handled punting and kickoff duties. He has recorded 182 punts for 8216 yards (45.1 avg.) with a long of 75 yards and 57 going 50 yards or more. He has touchbacks on 43 of his 86 kickoffs (50.0%).
2024: Czaplicki was the nation's best punter in the 2024 and earned the prestigious Ray Guy Award. He is USC's first-ever Ray Guy Award winner.
He was named a First Team All-American by The Athletic, Sporting News and ESPN making him USC's second-ever punter named to an All-American First Team and USC's 177th First Team All-American. USC's first All-American punter was Tom Malone in 2003. He was also named a Second Team All-American by the AFCA, Walter Camp, Sports Illustrated, Phil Steele, Sports Info Solutions, College Football Network and a Third Team All-American by the AP. Additionally, he earned All-American Honorable Mention by CBS Sports / 247Sports.
Czaplicki was selected to the All-Big Ten First Team, the AP All-Big Ten First Team and was named the Big Ten Eddleman-Fields Punter of the Year.
He averaged 47.8 yards on 43 punts totaling 2057 yards, of which 25 pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line, while appearing in all 13 games as a senior in 2024. He was instrumental in flipping the field and giving the Trojan defense great field position all season long. USC ranked first in the nation in net punting (45.40). He led the nation in percentage of punts inside the 20 for punters with a minimum of 30 attempts. Twenty-five of his punts were inside the 20, 10 have were inside the 10 and 4 inside the 5.
