Bio
2022: Hasan tore his Achilles tendon during winter workouts and will miss 2022 spring ball. He hopes to be ready to serve as a backup quarterback as a redshirt senior in 2022.
2021: Hasan was likely going to be the backup quarterback job as a senior in 2021, but he tore knee ligaments in 2021 spring practice and had surgery, so he missed the 2021 season. He was named a 2021 Allstate Good Works Team member and Wuerrfel Trophy semifinalist and won the USC Community Service Award.
2020: Hason, who came to USC in the fall of 2020 as a graduate transfer from Vanderbilt and was eligible to play immediately, did not see any action as a backup graduate quarterback in 2020. He injured his leg prior to the Arizona game and was sidelined for the next 4 contests.
VANDERBILT: He spent the 2018 and 2019 seasons at Vanderbilt. As a junior in 2019, he started in a win against No. 21 Missouri (his only appearance of the season) and completed 7-of-11 passes (63.6%) for 120 yards and a TD, plus added 34 yards on 9 carries (3.8 avg) before suffering a season-ending concussion. As a sophomore in 2018, he completed 4-of-6 passes (66.7%) for 38 yards and also ran for 45 yards on 7 carries (6.4 avg) while appearing in 5 games.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: He played in 5 games at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College as a redshirt freshman in 2017, completing 71-of-132 passes (53.8%) for 996 yards and 4 TDs.
SYRACUSE: He did not see any action as a true freshman walk-on quarterback at Syracuse in 2016.
HIGH SCHOOL: He earned 2015 All-County honors as a senior quarterback at Dillard High in Fort Lauderdale (Fla.), throwing for 2,520 yards with 19 touchdowns.
PERSONAL: He received his bachelor’s degree in economics and history from Vanderbilt in 2020 and is working on a master’s degree in applied psychology at USC with a 3.28 GPA. He has a college football podcast, Momentum. While at Vanderbilt, he founded Second Spoon, a non-profit organization that distributes extra food from the student-athletes’ training table to the homeless in Nashville, Miami and Los Angeles through the Hunger ReliefMobile (a converted FedEx truck). His real first name is Anthony. His father, Anthony, ran track at Florida.
