CAREER: He has 9 tackles in his career while appearing in 21 games.
2022: Nomura looks to battle for playing time at inside linebacker as a redshirt junior in 2022.
2021: Nomura saw action in 11 games (all but California) at inside linebacker and on special teams as a redshirt sophomore in 2021. Overall in 2021, he had 5 tackles (4 against Stanford and 1 versus Utah). He missed the California game because of a concussion.
2020: Nomura saw backup action at inside linebacker and on special teams as a redshirt freshman in 2020. Overall in 2020 while appearing in all 6 games, he had 4 tackles (2 against both Washington State and Oregon).
2019: Nomura saw action in USC’s first 4 games (Fresno State, Stanford, BYU, Utah) as a backup outside linebacker and on special teams as a first-year freshman in 2019, but he did not make a tackle. He tore ligaments in his knee against Utah and had season-ending surgery, allowing him to redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: He made 2018 PrepStar All-Western Region, Cal-Hi Sports All-State second team, All-CIF Division 1, Los Angeles Times All-Area, Riverside Press-Enterprise All-Area first team and All-Big VIII League Co-MVP as a senior safety at Centennial High in Corona (Calif.). He had 91 tackles, including 7 for losses (with 3.5 sacks), plus an interception for a TD, 2 deflections, a blocked punt and a forced fumble in 2018.
As a junior in 2017, he made All-Big VIII League first team as he had 61 tackles and 3 deflections.
As a 2016 sophomore, he had 6 tackles and 3 deflections. Current Trojans Drake Jackson, Jayden Williams, Gary Bryant Jr. and Korey Foreman also prepped at Centennial.
