2024: Branch looks to return to the field after recovering from injury to compete for playing time at safety as a redshirt sophomore in 2024.
2023: Branch recorded 22 tackles, including 1 for loss of 12 yards and 1 forced fumble while playing in 9 games with 1 start (California) before suffering a season-ending lower body injury as a redshirt freshman in 2023.
He had 1 tackle against San Jose State and 3 tackles against Nevada. He decorated his stat sheet with 3 tackles, including 1 for loss of 12 yards and 1 forced fumble against Stanford. He collected 1 tackle versus both Colorado and Arizona. He recorded 4 tackles against Notre Dame, a career-high 6 tackles versus Utah and 3 tackles against California.
2022: Branch redshirted in 2022 due to a season-ending lower body injury that occurred in fall camp.
HIGH SCHOOL: He made 2021 PrepStar Dream Team and Nevada Preps All-Southern Nevada first team as he had 42 tackles, including 2 for losses, and 7 deflections as a senior safety at Bishop Gorman High in Las Vegas (Nev.). Bishop Gorman won the 2021 state Class 5A championship.
As a 2019 sophomore, he had 29 tackles, 5 interceptions with a TD), a fumble recovery, a deflection and a blocked field goal on defense and he returned 2 kickoffs for 49 yards (24.5 avg) and had a punt return for 15 yards (15.0 avg).
As a 2018 freshman, he made 38 tackles, 3 deflections and an interception, plus he had a kickoff return for 38 yards (38.0 avg). Current Trojans Zachariah Branch and Garrett Pomerantz also prepped at Bishop Gorman.
PERSONAL: He is majoring in Communication at USC. His brother, Zachariah, is currently a sophomore on the USC football team. His great-uncle, Cliff Branch, is a former Raiders wide receiver who was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio in August of 2022. He and Zachariah created the Branch Out Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth initiatives including homelessness, after-school programs, health and wellness as well as other charitable causes.
