Bio
THIS YEAR: Sophomore Trent Rule begins his second season of competing in the distances for the USC track and field team.
2016: Finished fifth in the 5000m race with a time of 15:18.21 at the Dual Meet as the only Trojan amidst 13 Bruins. Set a 5000m PR with a time of 14:57.80 to finish 13th at the Triton Invitational. Had a 1500m PR of 4:02.26 to at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 15..
HIGH SCHOOL: Rule graduated from Valhalla High in San Diego in 2015...He has PR of 2:04.50 in the 800m, 4:26.37 in the 1600m and 9:17.67 in the 3200m. He was his team's XC MVP in 2013 and 2014.
PERSONAL: Trent was born on July 23, 1997 in San Diego...His parents are Claire and Jeffery Rule and he has one older brother, Clayton, who is also on the USC track and field team...His hobbies include hiking/adventuring, debating sports, sleeping in and ultimate frisbee...Lists his favorite actors as Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson, favorite movies as Scooby-Doo 1/2, Blazing Saddles and Caddyshack and his favorite musical artists Avicii, Akon, T-Pain, Imagine Dragons and Mac Miller...Says his sports hero is his uncle, Tim, because "he's 50 years old, 6-foot-6 and I certainly can't hang with him in a half-ironman despite the age difference"....Is a Mechanical Engineering major at USC....Would like to get an MBA.
