Gabriela Zarate-de Macedo is a senior port entering her fourth season with the Women of Troy...In 2011, Zarate-Demacedo was a steady contributor all season for the Varsity Four out of the fourth seat...She led the V4 to a third place medal finish in the Grand Final of the NCAA Championships where USC placed fifth overall as well as a third place finish at the Pac-10 Championships...Zarate-DeMacedo helped power the V4 to a title win in the Karen Plumleigh Cortney Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic in addition to wins over Clemson, Michigan State and Virgina...In 2010, Zarate-DeMacedo rowed from the fourth and sixth seats on the Second Varsity Eight boat and helped USC to a fourth place finish at the Pac-10 Championships as well as a eighth place finish at the NCAA Championships...She also added to the Trojans win over Notre Dame at the SoCal Challenge...in 2009: Zarate-DeMacedo was a staple of USC[apos]s Second Varsity Eight boat...The port usually rowed out of the second or fourth seat, where she helped USC to ninth in the Second Varsity Eight at the 2009 NCAA Championships, a fourth at the Pac-10 Championships and a win over UCLA. 2010: Zarate-de Macedo raced for Penn AC this summer...won gold at Club Nationals in the Women[apos]s Intermediate 8 and won Silver in the Women[apos]s Senior 8...placed 5th in the Women[apos]s Senior 8 at Canadian Henley...raced at U23 trials in the 4...finished third in the junior division at the 2008 Long Beach Erg Sprints...invited to attend the U.S. Junior Women[apos]s National Team Selection Camp in 2008...member of junior eights boat which finished in sixth in the grand final at the 2008 Southwest Regional Junior Championship Regatta...placed first in the Novice Jr. Division at the 2007 Long Beach Erg Sprints...member of CYC Sculling team which placed third in the grand final in the quadruple scull at the 2007 Southwest Regional Junior Championship Regatta...boat finished fifth in the petite final in the quadruple scull at the 2007 U.S. Rowing National Championships...finished first in the junior eights at the 2007 Newport Rowing Festival...placed first in the 2008 San Diego Crew Classic with Marina Aquatic Center...competed for the California Yacht Club from 2006-2007 and the Marina Aquatic Center from 2007-2008.
