Helen Tinkus is a senior starboard in her third season with the Trojans...In 2011, Tinkus was a key member of the Varsity Eight rowing in every race out of the bow seat...She guided USC to a strong fifth place finish at the NCAA Championships as well as a third place finish at the Pac-10 Championships...Additionally, Tinkus played a significant role in USC[apos]s title win in the Jessop-Whittier Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic and in wins over Clemson, Michigan State, Virginia and UCLA...Tinkus also excelled in the classroom earning CRCA Scholar Athlete and Pac-10 All-Academic honors...In 2010, Tinkus made an immediate impact in her first year with the Women of Troy as she anchored the fifth seat on the First Varsity Eight boat...She played a key role in the Trojans fourth place finish at the Pac-10 Championships and eighth place finish at the NCAA Championships...She helped power the Trojans to a first place finish at Ohio State and to wins over Notre Dame and Clemson at the SoCal Challenge as well as the UCLA Dual. Tinkus has a member of the Estonian National Rowing Team for the past four years, and has rowed for Kalev Rowing Club for the past seven years...She comes to USC from Tallinn University of Technology in Tallinn, Estonia...She has represented her country in many international regattas and World Championships... At the 2008 U23 World Championships, she was 10th in double scull. Personal
