2026: Doherty, who transferred to USC from Santa Barbara City College in January of 2026, looks to compete for playing time at quarterback as a junior in 2026.
SANTA BARBARA CC: Doherty did not compete on the football team in 2025.
As a sophomore in 2024, he saw action in 9 games and completed 111 of-210 passes (52.9%) for 1,272 yards and 9 TDs with 9 INTs.
As a freshman in 2023, Doherty saw action in 10 games and completed 158-of-315 passes (50.2%) for 1,944 yards and 14 TDs with 6 INTs.
HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior in 2022, Doherty saw action in 12 games and completed 129-of-265 passes (48.7%) for 1,858 yards and 19 TDs with 11 INTs. He also rushed for 24 yards on 7 carries (3.4 avg.).
Doherty also played basketball at Leuzinger.
PERSONAL: He is majoring in Business Administration at USC. His grandfather, Bill Bond, was the 1964 NCAA Men’s Tennis Doubles Champion at USC and was a member of the Trojans’ 1962, 1963 and 1964 NCAA Championship Teams. Bond was a two-time First Team All American in 1962 and 1964. He competed on the USC men’s tennis from 1962-64. Bond was inducted into the ITA Men’s Collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame in 2003. Doherty’s mother, Cynthia Bond, also attended USC.
