HIGH SCHOOL: He made 2017 All-City Conference first team, National Football Foundation Scholar-Leader-Athlete and San Diego Tribune All-Academic Team as a senior quarterback at La Jolla (Calif.) High. In 2017 at La Jolla, he completed 178-of-345 passes (51.6%) for 2,595 yards and 30 TDs and ran for 435 yards on 134 carries (3.2 avg) with 8 TDs.
As a 2016 junior at Mission Bay High in San Diego (Calif.), he made the San Diego Tribune All-Academic Team.
As a 2015 sophomore at La Jolla, he completed 4-of-7 passes (57.1%) for 11 yards and a touchdown and ran for 11 yards on 3 carries (3.7 avg).
