2021:  Tufono will battle to get into the playing rotation on the defensive line as a sophomore in 2021.

2020:  Tufono, who was switched from inside linebacker to defensive line in the fall of 2020, did not see action as a redshirt freshman in 2020.

2019:  Tufono saw action in 1 game (Arizona) as a first-year freshman inside linebacker in 2019, making 2 tackles.  He was able to redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL:  He made 2018 PrepStar Dream Team, Tacoma News Tribune Western 100, USA Today All-Hawaii second team and Honolulu Star-Advertiser All-State second team as a senior inside linebacker at Punahou School in Honolulu (Hi.).

As a junior in 2017, he made USA Today All-Hawaii second team.

He also played basketball at Punahou.  Current Trojans Kaulana Makaula and Brad Aoki also prepped at Punahou.

PERSONAL:  He is a non-governmental organizations and social change major at USC.  His father, Albert, played inside linebacker at Washington (1983-84, 1987), while his brother, Jack, was an offensive lineman at Idaho State (2018-19) who then was a student assistant coach there in 2020.
