2021: Hollinquest saw action in 1 game (at California, on special teams) as a backup tight end as a graduate walk- on senior in 2021. He was named USC’s Co-Offensive Service Team Player of the Year.
2020: Hollinquest, who came to USC in the fall of 2020 as a graduate transfer from UPenn and was eligible to play immediately, did not see any action as a senior walk-on backup tight end in 2020.
UPENN: Hollinquest played wide receiver and tight end, as well as on special teams, at UPenn in 2016 and 2017. As a sophomore in 2017, he had 2 receptions for 5 yards (2.5 avg.), a 4-yard run and a tackle while appearing in 9 games.
He did not see action as a first-year freshman in 2016 as UPenn won the Ivy League title.
HIGH SCHOOL: He was named 2015 All-State first team and Academic All-League as a senior wide receiver at Sierra Canyon High in Chatsworth (Calif.). In 2015, he had 56 catches for 941 yards (16.8 avg) with 19 TDs, ran for 37 yards on 6 carries (6. avg) and completed a 3-yard pass on offense, had 39 tackles, including 8.5 sacks, and 2 deflections on defense and returned 5 kickoffs for 45 yards (9.0 avg). Sierra Canyon was the 2015 CIF Mid-Valley champion.
As a junior quarterback in 2014, he made All-State second team while completing 53-of-85 passes (62.4%) for 929 yards with 9 TDs and 4 interceptions, rushing for 257 yards on 36 carries (7.1 avg) with 5 TDs and catching 4 passes for 28 yards (7.0 avg).
As a 2013 sophomore wide receiver, he caught 13 passes for 139 yards (10.7 avg) with a TD.
He also played basketball at Sierra Canyon and was a member of the 2015 CIF Division 4 state championship team.
PERSONAL: He earned his bachelor’s degree in philosophy/politics/economics from UPenn in 2020 and now is working on a master’s degree in entrepreneurship and innovation at USC. His father, Lamont, was a 4-year (1988-89, 91- 92) letterman outside linebacker and safety at USC, playing on the Trojans’ 1988 and 1989 Pac-10 champions that advanced both seasons to the Rose Bowl, and then was an eighth round pick in the 1993 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins and played for the Redskins (1993-94) and Green Bay Packers (1996-98, including on the Packers’ Super Bowl XXXI champs in 1997). His godfather is former USC and NFL star Willie McGinest. He founded a clothing brand, Kohlyghost, in 2017.
