THIS YEAR: Redshirt senior Daniel Robinson is in his fifth season as a sprinter on the USC track and field team.
2022: Robinson was limited to five meets due to injuries. He placed 11th in the 200m dash at the Pac-12 Championships with a time of 21.48 (+0.3) on May 14. He had a season-best 100m time of 10.61 (-0.6) at the Chris Rinne Twilight Meet on April 22. Indoors, he had a season-best 60m time of 6.87 at the Husky Classic on Feb. 12 and a 200m best of 21.77, which was good for fourth at the Pac-12 Invitational on Feb. 25.
2021: Robinson placed fourth in the 100m at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet with a time of 10.65 (-0.2). He tied for 10th in the 100m at the Pac-12 Championships with a season-best time of 10.49 (+1.1). He had a season-best outdoor 200m time of 21.32 at the Florida Relays. Ran a career-best indoor 200m of 21.59 to place fifth at the Woo Pig Classic.
2020: He ran in two indoor meets and had a PR of 6.78 in the 60m and 21.60 in the 200m at the Tiger Paw Invitational. Did not compete outdoors before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
2019: He set both his 100m and 200m PRs during the season. He set his 100m PR of 10.39 (+1.2) in the Pac-12 Championships prelims. He ran 10.69 (+0.2) to place ninth in the final. He set his 200m PR of 21.07 (+0.9) to place third at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet. He placed 19th in the 200m at the Pac-12 Championships with a time of 21.60. He ran the third leg for USC's 4x100m relay which ran 39.74 to take third at Pac-12s. He competed in both the 100m and 200m at the NCAA West Prelims, but did not advance to Nationals. During the indoor season he had a best 60m time of 6.95 at the MLK Invitational and a best 200m time of 21.78 at the Tyson Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: Robinson graduated in 2018 from Archer High in Lawrenceville, Ga. He has personal bests of 10.60 in the 100m and 21.48 in the 200m. Indoors, his best 60m time is 6.87. He was a two-time New Balance Nationals All-American.
PERSONAL: Daniel was born on March 28, 2000 in Lake Charles, La…His mother’s name is Danielle…Says his sports hero is Trayvon Bromell because his story growing ups is similar to his own story, dealing with injuries and having strong faith in God to overcome those injuries to perform well on the track…His favorite food is gumbo and sauce piquante…His favorite movie is Bad Boys 2 and favorite television show is Martin…Lists his favorite musical artists as Jaheim, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Meek Mill, Drake, Travis Scott, Tupac and Biggie…Someday would like to travel to the Bahamas and Italy…He is a Political Science major at USC.
