Bio
THIS YEAR: Senior Summer Skyy Mosley is in her fourth season as a thrower for the USC track and field team. She is the school record-holder in the weight throw and ranks eighth on USC's all-time discus throw list.
2021: Mosley competed in one indoor meet during the season, achieving a mark of 41-0.50 (12.51m) to place eighth at the Woo Pig Classic.
HIGH SCHOOL: Mosley is a 2020 graduate of Miami Northwestern Senior High School. She had bests of 151-9.25 in the discus throw and 41-6 in the shot put. As a junior she finished sixth in the discus throw with a mark of 127-2 (38.77m) at the Florida High School T&F Championships…also was 11th in the shot put at the FHSAA with a mark of 36-8.50 (11.19m).
PERSONAL: Summer Skyy was born on July 12, 2002…Her parent is Tonya Cheever and she has four siblings, Charles Jackson, India Jackson, Kiara Mosley and Nigel Mosley…Likes to spend her spare time with family and friends, listening to music and throwing…List Muhammad Ali as her sports hero because he was one of the greatest boxers of all-time and because she admired how compassionate and brave he was in his beliefs…Her favorite actor is Michael B. Jordan, favorite musical artist is Jhene.Aiko and favorite movie is Overcomer…She is a Business Administration major at USC.

2023: Mosley reached the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in the hammer throw and had a best mark of 192-1 (58.55.m) to finish 30th. She placed sixth with a mark of 190-9 (58.14m) in the hammer throw and 11th with a discus throw of 163-2 (49.73m) at the Pac-12 Championships. Set her hammer throw personal best of 193-7 (49.00m) in placing third at the Aztec Invitational on March 24. Was third in the hammer throw with a mark of 188-1 (57.32m) at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on April 30…also set her shot put PR of 45-2.25 (13.77m) at the Dual Meet. She broke her USC indoor weight throw record with a mark of 63-9.00 (19.43m) to win at the Cougar Classic on Jan. 13.
2022: Mosley set her hammer throw PR of 193-5 (58.95m) to place second at the CSUN Invtational on April 1. She a PR of 169-2 (51.58m) in the discus throw to place third at the Triton Invitational on April 8 which moved her to eighth on USC's all-time list. She placed 10th in the hammer throw with a mark of 187-10 (57.25m) and 18th in the discus throw with a mark of 156-8 (47.75m) at the Pac-12 Championships. She advanced to the NCAA Preliminary Rounds in both the hammer throw and the discus throw.
