Bio
THIS YEAR: Redshirt junior Abbey Knoll is in her third season as a thrower with the USC track and field team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Knoll is a 2020 graduate of West Salem High in Salem, Ore. She had high school bests of 119-8 in the javelin throw, 116-4 in the discus throw and 39-7 in the shot put. As a junior she placed eighth in the 6A OSAA state finals in the shot put with a mark of 37-3.00. Knoll was also the goalkeeper on the West Salem soccer team, coached by USC soccer alumnus Whitney Pitalo.
PERSONAL: Abbey was born on October 12, 2001…She is a Mechanical Engineering major at USC and works in the Rocket Propulsion Laboratory.
CAREER BESTS: Hammer – 125-1 Javelin – 136-2 Discus - 116-4 Shot Put – 39-7
2023: Knoll won the javelin throw at the Payton Jordan Invitational on April 21 with a mark of 135-3 (41.22m). She set her javelin throw PR of 136-2 (41.51m) in placing fourth at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on April 30.
2022: Knoll competed in six meets. She set PRs in the hammer throw and javelin throw at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet...she took sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 125-1 (38.13m) on April 30 and fifth in the javelin throw with a mark of 120-7 (36.76m) on May 1.HIGH SCHOOL: Knoll is a 2020 graduate of West Salem High in Salem, Ore.
