THIS YEAR: Freshman Gavin Schurr is in his first season as a sprinter on the USC track and field team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Schurr is a 2021 graduate of Fairview High in Boulder, Colo. He did not run in the 2021 Colorado state meet as a senior as he got a late call saying he was invited to the U.S. Olympic Trials. Schurr placed 21st in the 200m at the U.S. Olympic Trials with a time of 20.72. He has a 200m personal best of 20.52 and a 100m PR of 10.36. He won the NSAF USA Meet of Champions 100m dash title where he ran the U.S. No. 6 time of 10.36. He ran his 200m PR at the BYU Cougar Invitational which ranked No. 3 on the U.S. high school list in 2021. He also has indoor bests of 6.73 in the 60m dash and 20.84 in the 200m. The 200m time ranks fourth all-time and his 60m dash time was third among 2021 high school runners..
PERSONAL: Gavin was born on February 9, 2003...His parents are Michelle and Troy Schurr…He is a Business major at USC.
