Bio
THIS YEAR: Senior Ashton Allen is in his fourth season as a sprinter on USC's track and field team. His brothers Austin and Eric Allen Jr. also competed for the USC track and field team. .
2023: Allen won the 200m at the USC-UCLA dual meet with a time of 20.86. He ran a PR of 20.59 in the event at the Pac-12 Championships to place fifth. He competed in the 200m at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds and reached the NCAA Quarterfinals. He ran on USC's 4x400m and 4x100m relays at the NCAA Championships...the 4x100m relay placed ninth with a season-best time of 38.75, which tied for fifth on USC's all-time list.
2022: Continued to improve throughout the season, culminating with him running the third leg for USC's national champion and school record-setting 4x100m relay which won the NCAA title with a time of 38.49 on June 10. He was inserted into USC's 4x100m relay team at the West Regional and the team ran 38.71 to take second. He took sixth in the 200m with a time of 20.99 (+0.0) and eighth in the 100m with a time of 10.40 (+0.7) at the Pac-12 Championships. He set his 100m PR of 10.34 (+0.9) in placing third at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 1 and set his 200m PR of 20.71 (+0.9) at the NCAA West Regional on May 27
2021: Concentrated on the 400m, finishing in the top seven in three of the four meets in which he competed. He posted a season-best time of 48.58 at the Florida Relays.
HIGH SCHOOL: Allen is a 2020 graduate of the Bullis School in Potomac, Md. He had a PR of 20.84 in the 200M dash and a best of 46.99 in the 400m. He placed second in the 200m dash with a wind-aided best time of 20.76 (+3.1w) at the 2019 New Balance Nationals. He ranked third among returning high school 200m runners entering the 2020 outdoor season. Allen was named the 2019-20 Maryland Gatorade T&F Athlete of the Year. He is the Maryland indoor record-holder in the 400m and outdoor 200m. In 2019 he ran a relay leg on an indoor 4x200m which set a national record and on the 4x400m relay which set a world junior record. He was the runner-up in the 200m with a time of 20.76w at the 2019 New Balance Nationals.
PERSONAL: Ashton was born on March 25, 2002 in Philadelphia, Pa…His parents are Antoinette and Eric Allen Sr…His brothers Eric Jr. and Austin have also competed for the USC T&F team…He likes to bake in his spare time…His favorite food is barbecue…List his favorite movies as The Dark Knight and Captain America: The Winter Soldier and his favorite musical artist as Drake…He participated in i5 City Church which includes outreach services for the homeless and less fortunate in the Baltimore area…Says Kobe Bryant is his sports hero because of his work ethic and mindset for attacking everyday like it is your last…He is a Human Biology major at USC.
