THIS YEAR: Senior Zion Gordon is in his fourth season as a hurdler and sprinter on the USC track and field team.
2022: Ran his first three outdoor 110m hurdles races as a Trojan. He had a season-best of 14.66 at the Chris Rinne Twilight Meet. Opened with a time of 14.75 at the Triton Invitational on April 9 and closed his season with a time of 14.74 to place 10th at the Pac-12 Championships on May 14.
2021: Competed in two indoor meets and set his 60m hurdles PR of 8.15 to finish fifth at the Razorback Invitational on Jan. 30. He did not compete during the outdoor season. Indoors, he ran the 60m dash at the Husky Classic and placed 10th with a time of 6.97, tying his PR. Set his 60m hurdles PR of 8.15 to place fifth at the Razorback Invitational on January 30.
2020: Gordon competed in two indoor meets posting a season-best 60m time of 6.97 and 60m hurdles time of 8.29 at the Texas Tech Invitational. He had a time of 15.26 (+1.2) in the 110m hurdles and 10.91 (+1.2) in the 100m at the Beach Opener before the outdoor season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
HIGH SCHOOL: Gordon is a 2019 graduate of Regis Jesuit HS in Denver, Colo. He won both the 110m hurdles and 100m dash at the Colorado state meet as a senior. He has a best of 13.62 in the 110m hurdles and 10.67 in the 100m dash. He was named first team Academic All-State.
PERSONAL: Zion was born on January 22, 2001...His mother's name is Madleline Williams...His hobbies include photography, fashion, listening to music, playing video games and playing sports...He lists his favorite musicians at Tyler the Creator, A$AP Rocky and Blood Orange...His favorite movies are Resevoir Dogs and Interstellar and his favorite director is Quentin Tarantino...His sports hero is Russell Wilson because he is a successful, black, Christian, who is a positive role model...His goal after USC is to own his own magazine business regarding fashion, music and sports...Zion is majoring in Communication at USC.
