THIS YEAR: Senior Annabel Doherty is in her fourth season as a thrower on the USC track and field team.
2021:Â Doherty did not compete during her first season on the USC track and field team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Doherty is a 2020 graduate of Thayer Academy in Braintree, Mass. She was a two-time league champion and a member of the 2018 & 2019 All-New England Team. She had a best javelin throw of 120-1. She was a member of the Cum Laude Society and an AP Scholar.
PERSONAL: Annabel was born on Aug. 2, 2002…Her parents are Suzy and Sean and she has one sibling, Finn…Likes to surf and snowboard…Her favorite artist is Mac Miller and favorite movie is Chasing Mavericks…Says her favorite food is sushi…Lists her sports hero as David Ortiz as he stood up for what he believed in and because he is a symbol of Boston…Her major is Intelligence & Cyber Operations.
CAREER BESTS: JT – 131-4 (40.04m)
2023: Doherty recorded a personal best in the javelin throw at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 14 throwing 131-4 (40.04m). She placed second in the javelin throw at the Payton Jordan Invitational on April 21.
2022: Doherty competed in her first five meets as a javelin thrower for USC. She had a then PR of 121-3 (36.97m) to place fourth at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 1.2021: Doherty did not compete during her first season on the USC track and field team.
