THIS YEAR:Â Sophomore Charlie Jeffreson is in his second season as a middle distance runner on the USC track and field team.
PERSONAL: Charlie was born on Sept. 9, 2004 in Australia...His parents are John and Brigitte Jeffreson and he has one sister, Sammy...His favorite Netflix show is Suits and his favorite movies are The Hangover series...His hobbies include watching sports with his mates, especially "footy", playing golf and boxing...Likes going to the beach and hanging out with family and friends...His sports hero is his training partner in Australia, 2-time Olympian Steve Solomon...Jeffreson is a Business Administration major at USC.
CAREER BESTS:Â 400m - 48.65Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 800m - 1:47.60
2023: Jeffreson competed in four outdoor meets. He had a season-best time of 1:49.78 to place second in the 800m at the Trojan Invitational on April 8.
HIGH SCHOOL: Jeffreson has personal bests of 1:47.60 in the 800m, 48.65 in the 400m and 22.14 in the 200m. He placed eighth in the 800m with a time of 1:48.45 at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships in Colombia on Aug. 5, 2022. He won the Australian U20 800m title with a time of 1:50.04 on March 29, 2022. He also won the 2021 World Athletics U20 800 meter title with a time of 1:48.96 on April 15, 2021.
