THIS YEAR: Graduate student Jack Carter is in his fifth season on the USC track and field team.
2024: Carter did not compete during the indoor or outdoor seasons. He last competed in an outdoor meet on May 1, 2022.
2021: Carter ran a PR of 1:52.38 to finish fourth in the 800m at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet. He placed 18th in the 800m at the Pac-12 Championships with a time of 1:53.73. Ran a season-best 1500m time of 3:57.83 to finish second at the Cal Dual Meet.
HIGH SCHOOL: Carter is a 2020 graduate of Carman-Ainsworth HS in Flint, Mich. He was an eight-time All-Conference selection and a six-time All-Region selection for track and field. He was a 2019 Division I All-State in the 1600m. Carter had bests of 4:16.41 in the 1600m and 1:56.04 in the 800m. He was also an AP Scholar with honors.
PERSONAL: Jack was born on April 5, 2002…His parents are Dean and Michele and he has one older brother, Aaron…His hobbies include playing video games, watching and playing soccer, cooking and running…His favorite actor is Chris Pratt and his favorite show is Avatar: The Last Airbender…His favorite food is pancakes…Would like to visit Germany…Is majoring in Computer & Electrical Engineering at USC.
CAREER BESTS: 800m – 1:51.32 (outdoors)/1:50.69 (indoors) 1500m – 3:54.53

2023: Carter did not compete during the outdoor season, but competed at four indoor meets for the Trojans. He ran an 800m PR of 1:50.69 at the Husky Classic on Feb. 11, to move to ninth on USC’s all-time indoor 800m list.
2022: Carter competed in six meets. He set his 800m PR of 1:51.32 to take third at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on May 1. Set his 1500m PR of 3:54.53 in taking sixth at the Triton Invitational on April 9.
