THIS YEAR: Senior Curtis Johnson III is in his fourth season as a sprinter for the USC track and field team.
2024: Johnson III competed in two outdoor meets. He ran a 100m personal best of 10.65 (+1.4) at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 19. He took seventh in the 100m at the USC-UCLA Dual Meet on April 28. He ran one indoor race, posting a time of 22.82 in the 200m at the Spokane Sports Showcase on Jan. 12.
HIGH SCHOOL: Johnson is a 2021 graduate of Alamo Heights HS in San Antonio, Texas. He had a 200m best of 21.03. He also was a defensive back on the football team. During the indoor season he posted PRs of 6.98 in the 60m at the Pac-12 Invitational on Feb. 25 and 22.26 in the 200m at the Razorback Invitational on Jan. 28.
PERSONAL: Curtis was born on Aug. 2, 2003 in Santa Monica, Calif…His parents are Curtis (Jr.) and Fatima Johnson and he has one sibling, Sydney…His hobbies include reading, music, motor sports and being outdoors…Is a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys…His favorite musical artist is Townes Van Zandt and favorite movie is Casablanca…His favorite food is steak and potatoes…Someday would like to travel to Alaska…His father is his sports hero because he played a major role in who he is on and off the track…He is majoring Real Estate Development at USC.
